BioWell, this came out of an idea that I got whilst drying my hair one day. I've always wanted a radio show, but never knew how to create one. This is the answer that I came up with. This is my mini radio show where you can download each episode. If you love classic rock, or modern bands with a classic rock vibe to them, this is your place! Welcome to Krustacean Radio!
I am your DJ, Kristina, and I've always wanted to work on radio. I grew up with my dad listening to Milwaukee's WKLH. On Sunday mornings from 9am-noon, there was this show called Rock n' Roll Roots with Steve Palec (in fact it's still broadcasted), and recently he's expanded to more than just Sunday mornings with his new show called Legends of Rock. He pretty much influenced me at an early age. I grew up knowing songs that I didn't know I knew til I was older (if that makes any sense, lol). His library of music was so diverse that I grew up liking a lot the classics (with the help of my dad's music tastes, too, of course). I love how he tied in a story with the music, but it wasn't until Alice Cooper's Nights with Alice Cooper was syndicated to WKLH, that I got into the lesser known songs and bands. I really could say that my rebirth for my love of classic rock started with The Beatles, though. I was into the embarrassing music most children get into, but when I turned 16, I rediscovered The Beatles. It was a sort of reawakening, I think. After them, at 17, it was The Who, and it kept growing. These days, if I listen to any new music, it usually has a strong classic rock influence. Well, that's pretty much all there is to know about me. I'm making this a private journal, so if I know you already, you can friend it easily, but if I don't know you, I may not. Don't take it personally!
